Discussion: Scott Thomson in Conversation

Scott Thomson in Conversation

Improviser in Residence Scott Thomson will lead us in a discussion of Chapter 2, "Participatory and Presentational Performance," from the book Music as Social Life: The Politics of Participation by Thomas Turino. We will use it to consider the live performance of creative improvised music in general and Thomson's cartographic compositions in particular.
